Wine & Warblers

Join us for a morning of guided birding during the height of spring migration in Pennisula State Park followed by a picnic lunch and glass of wine at Helioterra Wines.

Mark Korducki has been watching birds since he was five years old and has been leading birding tours across the United States for the past 25 years. After retiring as a Physical Therapist in 2025, he founded Ducki Unlimited Birding Tours, and began leading tours and local guiding in Wisconsin. His favorite birds are warblers and he feels lucky enough to live in Door County, where Peninsula State Park is one of the best spots in the Midwest to observe migrating birds, especially warblers.

Join Mark for a morning of birding during the height of spring migration where we will visit various points in Peninsula State Park, especially the famous Weborg Point.  In addition to many migrating and resident warblers, we hope to see orioles, tanagers, thrushes and other neotropical migrants.  Peninsula State Park is a great place to see resident birds such as Ruffed Grouse, Pileated Woodpeckers and Great Egrets.

A state park vehicle sticker is required to enter Peninsula State Park. Please meet at Helioterra Wines at 7:30 - 7:45am and then participants will carpool over to the park. We will do some short walks of less than a half mile on level ground. Bring a water bottle, binoculars and comfortable walking shoes. Keep in mind that the grass will likely be wet on a spring morning.  There are clean and comfortable bathroom facilities available throughout the park.  We will to bird for about three hours and then will return to Helioterra for a picnic lunch and Helioterra's delicious wine.

Price is $50 per person and includes the birding tour, a picnic lunch and a glass of wine. Additional wine is available for purchase.
