Wines

Our wines are made from vineyards in Oregon and Washington, selected for their unique geological characteristics, climate, and quality of fruit. Each wine is made in our Southeast Portland winery with minimal intervention, honoring the fruit, the vineyard, and the hard work of the grape growers.

We make three pillars of wines: Willamette Valley and single vineyard Pinot noir, aromatic whites, and Rhône variety reds. To order wine or ask a question, please email us at info@helioterrawines.com.

Our wines are currently distributed in Arizona, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, New Jersey, Oregon, Washington, Wisconsin, Canada (Ontario), and Japan.

2021 Willamette Valley
Pinot Blanc

A tropical paradise! This delicate wine is made from vineyards throughout the Willamette Valley, displaying notes of guava, persimmon, coconut, and mandarin oranges with a creamy mouthfeel.

SRP $24

2021 Willamette Valley
Melon de Bourgogne

Oregon “Muscadet.” An emerging variety in Oregon, this Melon de Bourgogne is crisp with a delicately mineral palate of citrus and crushed stones.

SRP $26

2019 CONCRETE FERMENTED
Melon de Bourgogne

Cut like a diamond with clean lines, minerality and subtle fruit. Long detailed finish that fans out with a depth of creaminess. Fermented and aged entirely in a concrete egg-shaped tank, the mass of concrete provides one of the important requirements for good winemaking, which is long, slow changes in temperature. The effect of circulation inside the egg adds depth, volume and texture to the wine.

SRP $32

2021 Starthistle Cuvée

A blend of Riesling and Huxelrebe (one of the rarest grapes in the world.) Named in honor of the Yellow Starthistle—a spiny vineyard weed that produces incredible honey. This balanced wine has notes of honeysuckle, jasmine, and cardamom. 1.5% residual sugar.

2017 Vintner’s Select Pinot Noir

Nicknamed “The Grande Dame,” this wine is made from the best barrel from each vineyard source. In 2016, we selected Pinot noir from Bjornson, Lias and Apolloni Vineyards. It is a blend of five clones which lends to the complexity of this wine. This Pinot Noir is rich and contemplative, and built for time in the cellar.

2018 Björnson vineyard

SRP $58

2016 Red Mountain
Mourvédre

A grape that’s just beginning to step into the spotlight. Normally a blending grape in the Rhone, Helioterra chooses to let it shine on it’s own. This powerful wine offers notes of red currants, herbs de provence, dark chocolate, and a hint of black pepper.
